Covid-19 Tracker Virtual Concert Looked More Of A Church Service – Warnin Gee
Up and Rising reggae and dancehall artist Warnin Gee in a live interview with Nana Asare Stephen host of Expoz360 Insta live Interview announced his disappointment in the organizers of yesterday’s Covid-19 Tracker Virtual Concert labeling the virtual concert as a “Church Service”.
In Clarifying his point the C.E.O of Swag City Entertainment, mentioned he was on the lookout for a well staged show. Something more better or similar to Shatta Wale’s “Faith Concert”
“However, seeing the whole event been aired on television on Monday, I realized the virtual concert which was a brilliant idea has been wrongly executed.
“Shatta Wale”s Concert was executed to perfection, me comparing His to what I witness with my eyes yesterday broke me. The set up was poor, very poor and As an artist, I couldn’t focus on watching It for close to 3 minutes, I kept changing channels till the whole virtual concert was over” he stressed on.
Warnin Gee, defining his style as a unique one which is not known in Ghana, took turn to narrate the concept behind his new single “Get Down” during the interview which was held on Tuesday 14th April, 2020.
“The idea is a fuse of two genres, One from the UK and the other being our our own Ghanaian rhythm and rhyme. The concept came after I visited a friend’s studio to work on project with my producer “Slum”
My friend showed and played a video of a UK artist, I fell for it, so I decided to record something similar and in less than an hour in the SwagCity Entertainment Studio the tune “Get Down” came to life”
The budding artist who began his musical journey in 2011 and officially releasing his debut single in the year 2015, disclosed he didn’t believe his new jam “Get Down” would receive the attention it’s gaining now.
“The music is doing so well and my dad confirmed his likeness for the song”, video for the song which is gradually dominating the streets is ready and we’re waiting on the right time to release it , he added.
